On February 25 whole word is celebrating a birth of commedia dell’arte. It is the eleventh time when we will celebrate it also in Krakow. For this very occasion the Cracovia Danza Ballet along with Trupa Komedianty produced a brand new performance Carnival of Harlequins dedicated to commedia dell’arte, which was popular on courts and squares of Europe for nearly two centuries. The main guest of the premiere will be a French baroque dance master Pierre-François Dollé.
On the last day of carnival we will go on a journey to renaissance Italy and baroque France to see among others a birth of the most famous masks of commedia dell’arte – the Arlekin. The performance is full of authentic historic choreographies, as well as authorial dance compositions.
The performance is a part of XI Days of commedia dell’arte. Arlecchino, mon amour.
Performing: Pierre-François Dollé, dancers of the Cracovia Danza Ballet and Trupa KOMEDIANTY.
